For this project, I was tasked with making a 3D model of a 1931 Ford Model A Pickup Truck. This project took a couple of weeks to complete. I rendered it using Redshift. I included some reference images I used to create my model. It improved my modeling skills a lot and I feel more confident when modeling more complex meshes and objects.
In this project, I was tasked to make a 3D model and render of a building and create it using meshes that could later be used for a game. I used the Brooklyn City Hall as a reference. This is my first time making a modular environment. This is also my first time messing with Redshift. This project took a couple of weeks to complete. I also created a complex version of the building.
In this project, I was tasked to make a 3D model and render of a fire hydrant. I used Maya to create it. I rendered the images through Arnold and used Photoshop to create the render of the wireframe and touch up the lighting. This project was worked on over the course of a few weeks. I included some reference images I used to create this model. This project has definitely improved my modeling skills. It was a very good learning process. Thanks to this project, I am a lot more confident at 3D modeling especially models that are complex such as this one.
I created this chair using Maya. I rendered this by using Arnold. The wired frame was rendered by using Maya Hardware 2.0. I used Photoshop to touch up the lighting.
This is part 2 to my creating chairs journey. This is an office chair. This chair was a lot more complex and difficult to craft. The cushions were a challenging since I wanted them to look like a firm surface that can also be flexible and can model into different shapes like a real cushion. The wheels were also a bit difficult; however, I feeling like both these objects turned out looking nice.
I created this chair using Maya. I rendered these by using Arnold. The wired frame was rendered by using Maya Hardware 2.0. I used Photoshop to touch up the lighting.
This is part 1 to my creating chairs journey. This is a basic wooden chair. This chair was quite easy to make due to its blocky structuring. My only problem that I ran into while creating this was trying to make everything proportionate and structural correct.
I created an ammo crate using Maya. I rendered this by using Arnold. The wired frame was rendered by using Maya Hardware 2.0. I used Photoshop to touch up the lighting.
I created this to challenge my modeling skills and create something that looks realistic. I also wanted everything to be very proportionate and even to help with the realism. Also, my topology tends to get pretty messy sometimes, so I forced myself to try a clean topology for a more professional look. The handles were a bit tricky to create; however, after messing with the settings for a couple of minutes, I think they turned out looking nice.
I created two types of dice in Maya. I rendered these by using Arnold. The wired frame was rendered by Maya Hardware 2.0. I used Photoshop to touch up the lighting.
I created these to work on my modeling skills and to challenge myself. I also wanted to play around with lighting and angles to make beautiful renders. Creating the 3D numbers were a little difficult to shape. Plus, I really wanted to find a nice balance between smooth rounded numbers but with a blocky look. Despite this, I think they turned out looking pretty good.
