For this project, I was provided a car model which I had to texture then place in a scene. I used Adobe Substance Painter for the textures. Maya was used as my software for placing the scene and I used Redshift to render this piece. I used Polyhaven for the skydrome lighting, textures for Substance Painter, and environment models such as rocks, trees, branches, etc. I decided to base the texture for my Jeep off of the 1993 film, Jurassic Park since the Jeep asset I was using was of a similar year, make, and model as the one from the film. Also because the files were orginally rendered as a .exr, the images will not look exactly as I rendered.
For this project, I was provided the shoe model which I UV unwrapped and textured using Maya and Adobe Substance Painter. I based the roller skate off of Impala Sidewalk Skates Aqua. I created the rollerstake rink by using models from Sketchfab, Polyhaven, and some models I created myself. I decided I wanted to base the roller skate rink to feel like it has not been undated since the 80s or 90s. I was especially inspired by 80s disco colors for the lighting. I rendered using Redshift. Also because the files were orginally rendered as a .exr, the images will not look exactly as I rendered.
For this project, I was provided the guitar model to texture. I used Maya to render and set my scene and Adobe Stubstance Painter for texturing. I textured an amplifer as well for this project. I also create a room for the guitar and amplifer to sit in. I based the room off of the 1960s and 1970s. I models for the room I got from Polyhaven and Sketchfab. I modeled and textured the album covers. I based the guitar off the Jimi Hendrix's handpainted Monerey Stratocaster which he used during the 1967 Monterey International Pop Festival. During his performance, he knelt down over the guitar and set it ablaze as performace art which ultimately destroyed it. This project is sort of a fun what if scenario for the guitar. What if it was not destroyed, so I made two textures for this project. One texture is how I imagine the guitar looked back when it was used in 1967, and the second texture is how I imagine the guitar would look if it still existed to this day. I rendered this using Redshift. I also used Nuke to create a modified render to look like an old photograph. Also because the files were orginally rendered as a .exr, the images will not look exactly as I rendered.
For this project, I was assigned to recreate the lighting from movies scenes of my choicing. I used the website FILMGRAB to find these shots. I was provided a human bust and created the lighting in Maya. I rendered using Arnold. Also because the files were orginally rendered as a .exr, the images will not look exactly as I rendered.
